Wed. B4 Rap Fest report

Wed. night, August 9, 2006, was the beginning of Rap Fest week. What a night! We thank God for all of those people that came out to support. The Salem Worship Team truly ushered in the presence of God through their Worship ministry.

Rawsrvnt brought his "In Rare Form" worship style to Westchester Christian Worship Center and really blessed those in attendance. If you were there, and were blessed by the ministries, please, sign into our guestbook and let people know or e mail us at info@rapfest2000.com with your comments.

Rap Fest 2006 - Press Pass / Media Pass

If you are a reporter, radio / TV personality, newspaper / magazine editor, or any other media / press related representative, please read the following.

Press passes will be available on site at Rap Fest 2006 on August 12, 2006. We are requesting that all media persons come prepared with the following documents to properly identify your company and yourself.

• Complete company information
• A valid, state issued, photo I.D.
• Pertinent media information (such as publication dates, air dates, station ID, media outlets)

Rap Fest T-Shirts Are In!!

The Rap Fest T-Shirts are here and they look great. We come to neighborhoods that are plagued with darkness and and hopelessness to bring a message of hope and salvation. Besides bringing the Word through hip hop rhymes, we are going to white out the entire block on August 12th. That's right, we are encouraging everyone to get their Rap Fest T-Shirts early in the day and have them on all day. The shirts are all white representing purity and holiness. This year we have shirts in sizes up to 5X.

How Can You Carry All the CDs you buy at Rap Fest??

Here at Rap Fest, Inc., we are trying to think of everything that will make your Rap Fest experience a great and pleasurable one. So, as you walk around the vendor areas purchasing the latest Christian products (T-Shirts, CDs, Books and more) you can carry them around in your new Rap Fest bag.. That's right, for only $14 you can purchase a sack to carry your product around during Rap Fest.

Taking

Congratulations to, Confirmed Rap Fest 2006 artist, Jirah! Her single, "March", has been selected as 1 of the final 12 tracks for the "Holy Hip Hop, Vol.4 - Taking the Gospel to the Streets" Compilation CD. The album will be in stores on October 24, 2006.

God Moves – So did we.

In continuing to allow God to direct our steps, we are moving to an even greater location. Still in the Bronx and only a short walk away from Marmion Avenue, we have been blessed with an opportunity to move closer to the community’s highest traffic area to preach the Gospel, East Tremont Avenue .

On August 12, 2006 , we will be holding Rap Fest on Arthur Avenue between Tremont Avenue and 176th Street . The Arthur Avenue location is at least 3 times larger than the Marmion Avenue location we originally planned on. This exposes our ministries to heavy pedestrian traffic area. The location is also a better outreach area since Arthur Avenue between 176th and Tremont is adjacent to Tremont Park where there are basketball courts, handball courts, a baseball field, and lots of property where the community residents hang out during the summer. Praise God.

Rap Fest Goes To QUEENS, NY.

The Life Zone Church, located at 164-10 107th Avenue in Jamaica, Queens, will be hosting a Rap Fest, Inc. event on Saturday, July 22, 2006 from 3:00PM - 6:00PM. Pastor Kehinde 'Femi Akojenu and The Life Zone Church are hosting the event in support of the vision and goals of Rap Fest, Inc.

This is not just a promotional tour / concert. Rap Fest, Inc. will continue to follow the high standards of integrity, evangelism, and community outreach by bringing the Word of God, through hip hop, to the Queens streets with the same energy, effectiveness and impact as all Rap Fest events. Da T.R.U.T.H. (CMR) at Rap Fest 2006.

You've probably heard a lot about Da T.R.U.T.H. these past few weeks. His song, The Portrait (Da Vinci Code Snapshots), has been the subject of many news reports. He has been touring with Kirk Franklin and Mary Mary, recently, on the "HERO" tour. He has also appeared on T.B.N., The Holy Hip Hop DVD, The Source Magazine, and more.

His recent appearance on BET's 106 & Park is respected as an accomplishment and sign of where God is leading him. Now you get your chance to hear Da' T.R.U.T.H. live at Rap Fest 2006. Saturday August 12.

Bringing The Word to the Streets

Rap Fest and Nicky Cruz Outreach have joined forces to bring the Word of God to the streets of the Bronx in full force this coming August. We are excited to announce that the evangelist Nicky Cruz will be with us on August 12, 2006 at Rap Fest sharing his heart. The goal is to reach those in the streets that desperately need for God to impact their lives.
Bert Bocachica, Rap Fest, Inc. coordinator, and Nicky Cruz Outreach have worked together in the past bringing God's Word, through hip hop and testimony, to the streets of NYC in conjunction with the Storytellas ministry.

You can't imagine that an event as large as Rap Fest 2006 gets done by only 4 or 5 people helping out, right? No way!! Rap Fest, Inc. is looking for volunteers to help out during the course of the day.. If you are available early in the morning (8AM) on Rap Fest 2006 day, August 12, 2006, or if you are willing to help us out at the end of the event (9PM), we want to hear from you. Taking advantage of the latest trends and technology, Rap Fest continues to expand it's reach. Now on iTunes, you can download video and audio podcasts.

In an effort to reach out to all communities, boroughs, cities, and eventually, states, we have started to move Rap Fest 2006 to new locations. This year's host church for Rap Fest 2006 will be Resurrection Christian Church where the pastors are Luis and Erma Cardona.

The only thing changing is the location... we still have 30,000 Watts of sound, 26 ministries, 8 hours of non-stop Christian Hip Hop all for 1 God Jesus Christ.
