WHAT THE WORLD NEEDS... It's about time that we give honor
where honor is due. In a time when preaching the gospel (the death, burial
and resurrection of Jesus Christ for man's sins) is shuned while way is
given to a seeker-sensitive doctrine which refuses to confront sin in an
effort to make the "unchurched" sinner comfortable, much prayer and encouragement
is due to the "remnant" God has called to continue His work as demonstrated
by early church as well as old testament soldiers.
And on this day the rejection of God's word as the final authority continues with attempts to replace it with self seeking-relativism, humanism and every other ism the devil can come up with. It saddens me that some continue to be "persuaded" to such a liberal approach as if those who are void of the Spirit of God (The unsaved) can actually tell the church how they best should be ministered to. The Word of God makes it clear "But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned."(1Cor 2:14) Hello... the unsaved head will never volunteer to hear a message of sin and repentance. Why? I'm glad you ask that question. Let's peep the book of John chapter 3. Now we all know verse 16 pretty well, however if you would continue to read this time down to verses 19-20 you will find the answer to your question. "And this is the judgment, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one who does evil hates the light, and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed." (John 3:19-20) The "young player" coming out of the club with his "young honey" doesn't want to hear Elle Roc's "Virtuous Woman" blastin' from the radio, it's going to mess up his plans. And peep this, God is not concerned with the "young player" being offended or inconvenienced by His message. He wants the "young player" and "honey" to realize they are sinners in need of a Savior. The Apostle Paul understood that though you may be offended by the message at first, the hope is that it leads to "...godly sorrow which produces repentance leading to salvation..." (2Cor 7:8-10) Being a committed servant of the most High is no walk in the park. It can be very discouraging. The prophet Jeremiah became so distraught at times he wanted to turned in his resignation to God "...I will not mention him, or speak any more in his name..."(Jer 20:9) No man in his flesh can overcome the enemy of his soul. But of course the Word of the Lord strengthened Jeremiah to persevere through his adversity "the LORD is with me as a dread warrior; therefore my persecutors will stumble, they will not overcome me..."(Jer 20:11) I'm also reminded of the Instructions God gave to the prophet Ezekiel "And you, son of man, do not be afraid of them nor be afraid of their words...", "You shall speak My words to them, whether they hear or whether they refuse, for they are rebellious. But you, son of man, hear what I say to you. Do not be rebellious like that rebellious house; open your mouth and eat what I give you." (Ezek 2:6-8) Raising your voice in truth to a wicked and perverse generation is what God has called you to do. Peep Galatians 6:9. And so again I ask for much prayer and encouragement through the Scriptures for those God has committed to the uncompromising Gospel message of Jesus the Christ crucified yet resurrected for the sins and life of the whole world. (1Cor 15:1-4) Servants of God be encouraged with these words "Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when men revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so men persecuted the prophets who were before you." (Matt 5:10-12) N Christ, Jah Word
